IntroductionINTRODUCTION PART 1 - LIFE IN CORSICA Geology | Climate | History | Transport | Camping and Food | Medical INTRODUCTION PART 2 - CANOEING IN CORSICA Planning the Canoeing Programme | River Grading | Portages River DescriptionsBecause of the time taken to travel around Corsica it can be very easy to waste time journeying from river to river. The rivers in this guide book are therefore grouped into "families", of either a major river and it's tributaries, or a group of adjacent rivers which are easy to move between by vehicle. Rivers listed in lower case are not described in the guide, not having been paddled by the author The river guide comes in two formats. The "Print-Out" version contains the full text, in one page, of the river descriptions in the guide. It has been put in this format to make it suitable for output to a printer. All photographs have been removed except one picture of a dangerous fall on the Travo which is worth being able to recognise. RIVER GUIDE - PRINT OUT VERSION The "Browsable" set of webpages (see links below) has exactly the same text, but contains photographs and additional links optimised for on-line browsing. By clicking on any photo in these pages you will download a full screen (approximately 600 by 800 pixel, 60 kilobyte) version of the same image. I have also collected all the various images used to illustrate the river guide sections into one web-page, to make it easier to simply browse through a Photo Album of Corsican rivers.
